Kristin Janke Receives Excellence in Innovation Award

On September 12, 2015 Dr. Kristin Janke received the Excellence in Innovation Award from the Minnesota Pharmacists Association (MPhA) for her work in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) and Leadership. This award is sponsored by Upsher-Smith Laboratories and honors a profession member who has demonstrated significant innovation in their work which directly or indirectly results in advancing the profession of pharmacy.

Dr. Marsha Millonig, MPhA Interim Executive Director, presented Dr. Janke with the award and noted:

“[Dr. Janke] has been widely recognized for her work in the scholarship of leadership, teaching and assessment. Her pioneering work at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy with her peers in creating a Leadership Emphasis Track and now implementing the Leadership & Engagement Domain team in the College’s new curriculum has led to a cadre of pharmacist graduates who have exceptional skills to advance the profession and lead change.”
